Creative responses to the theme of ‘Entrances/Exits’ are on display at Washington Arts Centre in the run up to Christmas. Selected works by both professional and amateur artists explore this theme in a variety of form and media.
‘Portals’ by the mixed media sculptor Carolyn Corfield, illustrates an inspirational text with ceramic inclusions on hessian and fabric. Ceramic portals symbolize the opportunities we seek to enhance our existence, whilst a glazed porcelain key signifies the knowledge required to unlock these gateways and allow us to develop our potential. Thus we enter a new stage to move our lives forward.
