Everything For Effect is Stockport College’s B.A Hons. Fine Art and Documentary Photography degree show. This year’s show explores the emergence of multi-media and photography — put simply, photographs , video and audio taken for a reason. Presenting 20 artists of significance, Everything for Effect 12 will provide the most comprehensive collection of Stockport College Degree photography ever seen. The exhibition will show curated pieces and new projects by exciting contemporary artists within the practice of documentary and fine art photography.Some of the twenty exhibitors have been inspired by the esteemed Manchester Museum, their work responding to the collection. Other students have turned their lens on a wide range of subjects.Curated around the theme of fine art and documentary photography, the exhibition includes new media visual imagery that aims to investigate beyond the still image, creating films, multimedia and web documentaries. The show shall bridge everything from journalism to documentary, art, film and other genres; the essential ingredients though are perception, reflection and the ability to compose with place, period and space.Join us for the preview on the 20th June at 5:30pm.
