Joint exhibition of contemporary glass and fine art. Combining the traditional tools of stained glass with modern techniques, Angharad creates fresh and vibrant contemporary work.Her latest pieces will be on show in the upper gallery, filling it with colour and light. Angharad has received ‘The Ashton Hill Award' & the prestigious ‘Award For Excellence' from The Worshipful Company of Glaziers and Painters of Glass, London, & ‘The Frederick Stewart Memorial Award' from the Worshipful Company of Glass Sellers. She will shortly be exhibiting at The Cochrane Gallery, London with The British Society of Master Glass Painters, & at the Eisch Gallery, Frauenau, & in Corning, NY, during the Glass Art Society Conference 2009. She has also been selected to exhibit at the foremost showcase of excellence in UK contemporary glass- The British Glass Biennale- this August. Elenyd works in watercolour on canvas, focusing on portraiture. Adopting a detailed & atmospheric painting style, she creates realistic portraits imbued with immediacy and vigour. Elenyd has spent several years developing a highly nuanced and naturalistic technique, and has undertaken many private commissions. She has recently been invited to exhibit at a festival celebrating the exchange between Brazilian and Welsh culture, organised by ‘Brasil in Wales', to be held in Cardiff in November.
