THREAD is an exhibition of paintings and drawings by Nina Royle and Jasmine Garrett’. ‘Industrial, steely graphite, concrete, Prussian blues, Krummelanke, green spaces, Bauhaus, burnt-out summer grasses, Templehof.’ Thread is an exhibition about a dialogue between two artists and a city. Last summer they moved to Berlin for four months to explore their media and motives for making work. Their experience filters into a language of marks which plots the journey from external landscape to inner mapping. The process led abstracts on show trace time, place and memory.
