I've joined Facebook- great way to keep in contact with ex colleagues from Glasgow School of Art and I've got an Iphone. This has revolutionised the way I use the web. It frees me from the computer- I carry it around with me and can check emails, text, take photos,post them. The only thing the Iphone wont do is video and send photos direct to a blog. But I am sure that will come.
Meanwhile I have begun the tricky process of applying for funding from our local arts officer for a project. Having downloaded the pages of forms I am required to fill in I am not surprised that there has been a dearth of applicants. In fact they have extended the deadline to encourage local artists to apply. Quite frankly the whole process is daunting.
They claim to make it easy by advising you to contact your local arts officer for "advise" before beginning the daunting process of filling in the forms. I did and she suggested I send in some ideas to see which would be acceptable to the committee.
I am still waiting to hear from her….
