Did You See Me Coming?
An exhibition of paintings by London-based artist Gavin Maughfling examining ‘the contingent and fluid nature of queer experience’. Maughfling uses processes of layering to combine complex narratives. Compositions are drawn from sources including ‘gay home movies’ from 1950s America, ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’, current YouTube video blogs created by young queer Londoners, and the artist’s own private photograph and film archives.

The Mutterscream: Crepuscular Lush
An evening by artist Charly Morgan-Ivey and photographer Matt Kirby offering the chance to ‘dip your fingers […] into dark and honeyed mucus’ with static art media, performance and live music. ‘The Mutterscream’ began as an idea for a joint exhibition, a twist on the ‘unattractive, traditional and clinical white space’. This latest event is a development on the theme with artists including Ellie Walker, Camilla Mason, Tyr Leach Martin, Fran Gonzalez Camacho, Alex Colley, Petros Kourtellaris and Alice Bradley.

Stu Herring: Divine Nothingness
A collection of video performances and artifacts by Stu Herring, presented as ‘a meditative reflection’ on rituals used by the artist to separate himself from regular modes of understanding. The exhibition taps into transcendental experience, as Herring creates for himself a viewpoint of his existence in recognition of the ‘infinite expanse in which we exist’. Rooted within his home city of Newcastle upon Tyne, the artist examines his working-class heritage to make work. His performances, whilst gruelling and repetitive, become physical mantras to ask ‘who, why, and what we are?’

Sight Lines
An exhibition of ink on paper, metal, kinetic sculpture and hand-made porcelain by East Anglian artists Valerie Emmons, Kathryn Hearn, Andrew Jones and Michael Walton. Set within a converted 19th Century barn in Cambridgeshire, the exhibition presents artwork for sale and is also an opportunity for the artists to provide insight into new directions in their creative practice.

Sussex Art Fairs (West) 2019
A new art fair for both established and emerging artists and galleries, as well as artist collectives. Taking place at Goodwood Racecourse‘s March Stand in the Sussex Downs, 100 exhibitors present artworks from over 160 artists. Prices range from £50 for prints and smaller works, to over £5,000 for ‘an outstanding masterpiece’. All purchases will be wrapped by specialist wrapping team ‘artPAKK’.
