‘Make Your Mark’ is part of Discovering Places, the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad campaign to inspire communities across the UK to discover their local environment – with all its hidden places, extraordinary spaces and the stories they have to tell. Set over two locations in the Old Town, during the Cultural Olympiad weekend, Pushing Print are holding a ‘Marathon Monoprint Event’ on the Harbour Arm on Friday 23rd July, between 11am and 4pm. We are challenging you to come down and help make a monoprint, covering 26 metres representing the town and it’s coastline in your own style, focussing on all those special places that make Margate what it is.Once completed the finished art work will be on display in the Pie Factory Project Space, Broad Street on both Saturday the 24th and Sunday 25th 11am-4pm. In case of bad weather on the Friday this will also be the venue for the print.
