The important/urgent matrix. In my performances I rather like to mix up different time structures so this diagram speaks to me, albeit in a way quite different from that which its author probably intended. The tension between structure and improvisation is something I work with a lot so the idea of Type 4 “These are not even considered” is quite anathema to me. How can we consciously not consider? What would happen however if I were to follow this instruction? Would it create more urgent/important events crowding around at a much later point? The anarchist in me would like to think so.
