‘Outside In’ is an exhibition of paintings inspired by the book ‘Norge’, published in the 1930s. It contains photos of traditional scenes and rural life. Miranda uses it to create a metaphorical place, celebrating a folk and romantic view, which shows an alternative to our frantic modern world. Miranda’s work is a combination of drawing, painting and mark making. This distinctive personal language blurs the contemporary boundaries between painting and drawing, therefore reinvigorating their dialogue.
