“What will we do when” is a site-specific installation that explores the relationship between architecture, collaboration and curation. Based on the aesthetic of manmade structures within national parks, this exhibition invites the audience to travel along a purpose built structure designed by Jo Lathwood. The installation contains over 70 metres of wooden slatted pathway that weaves within a 10m by 25m space. Through collaboration with Lathwood, 9 resident artists showcase new work in response to the structure and space. Each artist’s work has reacted to the aesthetic and layout of the structure and therefore created an exhibition that is neither a collaboration nor a groupshow but a different format of exhibition that lies somewhere between these two expected modes.
