The work in this exhibition is by members of Milton Keynes Printmakers. We are a regional centre for fine art printmaking, based at our studio in Great Linford. We use a range of methods for transferring an impression from one surface to another, including etching, drypoint, linocut, woodcut and monoprint. Each method offers infinite possibilities for making different marks and textures. In this age of digital reproduction, fine art printmaking has the quality of being hand-made, with each mark varying depending upon how and when it was printed. It is a fascinating combination of craft and art.
