Viewing single post of blog making work leave home

been ages since i have managed to get on the computer and as you can see i am not alone so there will be typos if i manage to post this. Its been deleted once already.

So quick summary of the last month:

– Birthrites talks went well, really enjoyed Lisa Baraitser and Imogen Tyler’s talk and was good to hear them twice. lots more for my reading list. Things to think about is natality not mortality and other ways to approach the body and being a woman without the use of abject.

Was brilliant to see Hermione Wiltshire’s work in London as there was pieces i hadnt seen before.

I landed 2 days assessing work at short notice of 2nd and 3rd year degree students – has made me think about portfolios, how to advice further, how things relate electronically, the possibilities of e.portfolios and why is a bad CV obviously a bad one but a good one is harder to explain & obtain. My brilliant parents did childcare so i ended up with 75% of the wages rather than the 25% i would have ended up with after train fare & childcare costs.

– Half term workshops for Creative Foundation – Folkestone Triennial

I ran 2 mornings of maskmaking and kite making at 2 different centres round the folkestone area for under 10’s and their parents/carers. Was really good fun and completely different to anything i have done before. Sequins are a pain in the A to sweep uo though. hopefully more wll come up over the summer.

Its nearly Triennial Time!!!!

I have just over 2 weeks left and need to update show blog, make an invite (print & e.flyer), press release and mail it all out.
