The Royal Miniature Society, Which was founded in 1895 and has HRH Prince Charles as its Patron is holding its Annual Exhibition at the Mall Galleries, London 11th-23rd October 2001. There will be about 700 stunning works by contemporary miniaturists on display.Whilst traditional techniques of miniature painting continue, current artists now paint in a variety of mediums and paint many subjects including, landscapes, still life, animals – all in great detail to excite and enthrall the viewer. This years exhibition offers an unique opportunity to see a loan collection of ROYAL PORTRAIT MINIATURES dating from Elizabeth 1 to the present Queen.Curated by Richard Chadwick, a leading Historian and researcher of Antique Portrait Miniatures, this special collection includes many never before seen in public.Admission Free – Wheelchair access – Refreshments available There will be demonstrations of Miniature painting by different artists each day.email: www.royal-miniature-society.org.uk
