The exhibition features three artists working in a variety of media. Dee Shaw and Colleen Fernandez have been researching different aspects of human identity. Dee is showing Cabinets, part of a series exploring from Victorian pseudo sciences to “voluntary” surrogacy in Asia to pick ‘n’ mix designed babies of the western world. Colleen’s work involves research into the affect of immigration/migration on identity and personality, which has resulted in a layering of images in sculptural and print form. Soprano Rachel Dyson will be featured at the preview evening, 29 September, performing a sound piece. This work responds to the thirteenth century chapel housing the show and has been commissioned by Angela Kennedy. Angela is also showing other work
