Olfactory Colours
A perfumer Jean-Claude Ellena was interviewed on radio 4 Midweek 11/07/2012. He keeps working on a smell until he achieves simplicity. He said his work is like being an illusionist – where by we think we can smell the scent he has created. Another perfumer Olivia Giacobet is described as:
‘… beautifully captures moments and creates scented stories…’

I work in Arts and Health across collage, sculpture, photography and curated events. I am curious how we use our senses. The materials I use have sensory qualities like scented plants and tactile papers. This helps me to stay present and focussed. Much of my work is in partnership and collaboration which excites and sustains new discoveries. Some of which appear into interactive artworks that connects people, objects and spaces.
