Surrey Artist of the Year Competition supported by the Baines Charitable Trust Exhibition showcase at New Ashgate Gallery, Farnham: 7 September – 20 October, come and place your vote The Surrey Artist of the Year competition gives recognition to the artists who have taken part in the Surrey Open Studios event. The prize is in its fourth year and celebrates the partnership between the New Ashgate Gallery and the Surrey Artists Open Studios. Each year the exhibition showcases a variety of artwork created in the region. Votes are counted from the Surrey Artists Open Studios summer event were tallied and the artists with the most votes have been invited to showcase their work as a part of the Surrey Artist of the Year exhibition at New Ashgate Gallery in Farnham from 7th September to 20th October 2012. The public are asked to vote again during the show to chose their overall favourite. The votes counted by visitors, and a selected panel of judges will decide the Surrey Artist of the Year 2012.
