3 installations/interventions at St Paul’s Deptford 1700s Italianate Baroque church interior rarely open to the public. Pleonasmos, Charlotte Squire’s installation, sited in the upstairs gallery, refers to the use of more words than are necessary and considers a doubling up in real time. Often the sheer volume of people in the city requires a repetition just in order to reach the constant flow of those passing through. Lisa Snook’s intervention Constellation in the churchyard celebrates a collective identity within a diverse community by creating a totem of collected concrete cast objects. Adam Walker’s work ‘What was and is and is to come’ a sculptural installation of paintings in the nave Part of DeptfordX contemporary art festival. Funded by the Arts Council X
