TNT has been working together for the past three years.So far two projects have been carried out: “TNT, Wile.E.artist” “Frankie Umlaut”Works consist of flat framed works, moving image, and objects alongside more challenging forms of realisation; a set of cursors for use on Windowscomputers and on gee-whizzzz.co.uk.A performative element of “Tongue in cheek” is part of TNT’s practice also, this worktends to happen on the day.TNT makes upbeat work visually, it has a strong design aesthetic and brand, that it asodds with a lot of more academic based Art. TNT’s work would be just at home in Ikea orHabitat, as in a gallery space.Chris and Nicole resist the research based, academic, artist led group, approach tomaking Art work. That leave the visual lacking.It is this avoidance to being ‘placed’ contextually that prompts TNT to have no realwritten statement, and continue to dislike producing them.A conscious decision to go against the grain of what is expected as practicing artists.TNT is autonomous in its actions.TNT sets out to make things, for the viewer to look at in the first instance.TNT hooks the viewer with humour and an upbeat colourful aesthetic.TNT has no permanent studio; works are made through the use of informationtechnology. TNT now has an accomplished body of work spanning the past three years.
