This exhibition presents visual fragments of personal stories relating to the migrant experience and traces of shared histories of displacement, immigration and integration.Eva Mileusnic, tells the story of her family’s experiences related to the European post WW2 diaspora and her subsequent personal ‘migrant’ experience as a first generation British/Hungarian, born and brought up in England in the 1960s with ‘foreign’ parents. In her work Mileusnic invariably refers to the medium of memory, and uses personal and found objects that reference and allude to the life of the exile and migrant; reflecting on the existing parameters between theories of identity and belonging.
