The Water Nymph

Herbert James Draper, ‘The Water Nymph’, Oil on canvas, 1909. Courtesy: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Herbert_James_Draper,_The_Water_Nymph.jpg. I didn’t want this just to be a huge wordy post so. This is an oil painting by an English painter of a water nymph. Typically in mythology nymphs are associated with promiscuity, so I felt this to be a suitable image for the post. I like how it looks quite the opposite of what its supposed to portray its facial expression is quite horrendous and nowhere near as enticing as its body.
