An artist talking: Mariele Neudecker Wednesday 17 July 2013, 6 – 8pm at Towner. All welcome. FREE to Blue Monkey Network members; non-members £10. Blue Monkey Network is extremely pleased to welcome artist Mariele Neudecker to Eastbourne. Mariele a German artist, now based in Bristol and working internationally, uses a broad range of media including sculpture, installation, film and photography. Her work attempts to challenge conventional ways of seeing and re-considers the dichotomy between nature and culture. The ideas underpinning her work grew out of a process of collecting images and concepts of predominantly Northern European Romantic Ideas – mingled with a desire to undermine and dissect those concepts.
