Discussion paper for the the Rural Cultural Forum. It notes the disparity in ACE funding for rural cultural regeneration at a time when urban communities received significant public funding for urban regeneration. Argues for relative parity of funding and provision with urban arts and regeneration projects. It suggests that rural communities would like to see their contribution to the Creative Economy taken more seriously, and have a voice in setting the agenda for national arts funding and cultural policy. Provides useful overview and introduction to the rural arts economy and its needs.
