This exhibition, featuring objects and documents from Halton’s public and community collections, provides an introduction to how museums, artists and individuals research stories in local history. They may start with a mystery object and part of a story, and then use local resources and different methods to build a more complete picture of the past. With suggestions of how to research your family tree, what your local collections look like and how to begin your own investigations this exhibition has something for everyone with an interest in the past. Join us in the gallery on Saturday January 4 from 11am – 2pm, to meet local history groups and representatives from museums and libraries to find out how you can learn more about Halton’s past, join a group or start to solve your own history mystery.
