The exhibition will open by celebrating the success of Merseyside bands and the fact that Liverpool is known world-wide for its popular music success. In this Capital of Culture year of 2008 is Liverpool really the capital of pop? It will explain that the exhibition is going to explore the range and processes of music making – not just in connection to signed or commercially successful bands but also local amateur bands and artists.
