Katy Webster, ‘Untitled’, Acrylic, 2008. I enjoy expressing my feelings through my work, using colour and mark making. Often I work on my paintings over a long period of time, and add many layers. Recently I have started to use writing and drawings in my work.
I am inspired by certain places, especially parts of North Wales, places by the sea and the North Yorkshire moors, where I grew up. Memories, music and the Welsh language also influence my work. I am interested in the painting as a celebration of colour and expression.
