Lorraine Clarke combines magic, medicine and religion and her sources of inspiration range from ancient amulets to stem cell technology. Clarke’s work ranges from large installations to small scale, finely crafted collections, reminiscent of objects associated with ancient rites and traditions whilst also having direct relevance to contemporary medical practices, referencing current scientific research and ethical and social issues.
