Just world order is a curated group exhibition, originated by ArtSway, which will explore themes converging around identity and anxiety as we experience them in today's society.Works on show embrace theories of displacement, both physical and mental (the latter particularly evident in the deliberately ambiguous title 'Just world order’) and will touch upon aspiration, elevation and belonging in human endeavour. The exhibition will feature the works of 8 UK based international artists using a variety of media: Dunhill & O'Brien (sculptural installations); Rachel Garfield (single channel video work); Charlotte Ginsborg (single channel video work); Jane Grant (sound and video installation); Ansel Krut (painting); Kim Noble (performance and installation) and Tim Simmons (photography).Exhibition Associated Events:Publication Launch: Saturday 12 July, 2008 at 3pmPlease join us in the gallery for the official launch of a 28 page full-colour publication to accompany the exhibition Just world order.
