I have a neat stack of mini business cards, each with a “w0budong” related original drawing on the back. It has been an amazingly creative process making each of these tiny drawings; my thoughts have wandered and meandered, images of other artists’ work have come and gone. While this has happened, connections with other ideas or developments of the current ideas have emerged and faded. I will take some time tomorrow during a repeat of the process, to make some notes that I can refer to when I get back into the studio. I still have quite a few more cards to make and I am looking forward to the whole experience. The obsessive and repetitive nature of what I am doing at the moment seems to nurture the creative act.
I aim to place all the cards down on my white floor and photograph them before I head off to Manchester next week.
I have painted white one of the four breeze blocks on which my large painting is going to stand so another job for tomorrow is to paint the other three.
I need to find the drawings I am taking along with me as well and I shall have to clear my trestle table once work has stopped, because that is coming to Manchester too.
I must remember to make sure I have some clean clothes . . .
