“Walking, looking up and around, taking it in – colour, tone, form, solidity, air, space – eyes being caught and resting a moment longer. My paintings, whether painted quickly, en plein air or studio pieces that involve weeks of intricate brushwork, are an expression of my movement through the world around me – the natural, the man-made and the domestic.
