“Shapes in the Clouds” is a series of five highly figured Rosso Luana marble sculptureswhich have a powerful physical presence and are based upon rounded variations of the five Platonic solids. From a geometric starting point they are poetically transformed through the wild pattterning of the marble, bringing to the work associations of weather and planetary sysems or the swirling origins of the cosmos.
