Artist and curator Sally Lemsford invites you to step on board and revel in the Flaming Skirt Festival 2014 – Derbyshire’s Contemporary Arts Festival in Village Halls. Enjoy five mini contemporary art events in Ironville Church Hall, Riddings Park Community Centre, Denby Institute and Waingroves Community Centre, plus on a double-decker bus that will carry you between each local venue. Take part in fun and delightful creative surprises at each Flaming Skirt Festival location in Amber Valley, Derbyshire. And experience the kind of contemporary art events that could unfold in your village hall or community space every week. There is no need to book a place on this event, people can just turn up on the day starting at Ironville Church Hall at 10.15am on 27th April. It’s completely free so it’s a great day out for families. The Festival is funded by Arts Council England & Derbyshire County Council.
