Studio 106 Art Gallery is delighted to announce an exhibition of prominent Montenegrin artist Mirjana Marsenic. The exhibition includes paintings acrylic on canvas, mix media and installation. All works are exclusively commissioned for this exhibition and are for first time presented to British public. In her exhibition “Passage of Time: The moment of recollection”, Marsenic unites different artistic moments into one composition creating continuity and dialog and by interconnecting them all into one, she conduct evocative extended story. Artist intention is to create narrative shaped by seemingly insignificant smaller tales discovered and noted during the art-making process and communicated through her art. It is that moment, when artist stop and turn- beck, the “moment of recollection”, that Marsenic finds incredibly profound and often challenging, in the process of preserving the emotion, the idea, meaning, purpose and direction in creating an artistic expression. Mirijana Marsenic was born in Montenegro. She studied on Faculty of Fine Art in Cetinje, Montenegro and completed her MAF in Fine Art in 2013. She exhibited widely in her country of origin as well as internationally, including Pont –Aven, Nica, Belgrade, and many more. As one of the most prominent Montenegrin artist, she was the representative of Montenegro on 7 – Francophone Games in Nice. The exhibition is supported by Ministry of Culture Montenegro .
