The vulnerability of a power that is intrinsic to humanity is at the core of two major pieces of work shown in this exhibition. In the first of the two pieces, entitled saudade, a recurring backdrop of a seashore is evident. The installation is made of thousands of plaster casts of objects, organic and manmade, found on the beach. In the second piece, an ongoing work called the petites madeleines project; memories are canned. Series one shows the artist’s own memories, triggered by seeing ‘nanny’s dolly’. Series two follows her work as Artist in Residence at Ludlow Sixth Form College.
