Helen Marten: Oreo St James, Sadie Coles HQ, London
For her first exhibition at Sadie Coles HQ, London-based British artist Helen Marten brings together an extensive group of new sculptural works revolving around the concept of the model as a basic means of organisation. The show also features eight screen-printed paintings on leather which lay bare the potency of line to convey information at speed.

Sarah Lucas, Tramway, Glasgow
This first substantial exhibition of Sarah Lucas’ work in Scotland brings together key works from over 20 years. From early sculptures to her recent furniture and large-scale prints, the show takes over the large main space at Tramway and contains works that confront cultural taboos around gender, sexuality and the erotic.

Thomson & Craighead: Maps DNA and Spam, DCA, Dundee
Thomson & Craighead return to Dundee, where they both studied, for an exhibition of video work that looks at how communications networks including the worldwide web are changing the way we relate to the world. Featuring new and previously exhibited works, the artists explore the conflict between our private and public identities, the tension between the global and the local, and the way in which modern communications inform our sense of place and self in the world.

Simon Lewandowski & Sam Belinfante, Tetley, Leeds
At the core of this intriguing exhibition at the new Tetley centre for contemporary art, is a machine featuring a turntable spinning vinyl discs specially recorded by artists including Ed Atkins, Sam Belinfante and Alice Bradshaw. Also hooked up to the device are household light fittings, slide projectors and a variety of sculptural automata.

Bettina Buck and Marie Lund, Spacex, Exeter
This collaborative exhibition explores the material properties of objects, including weight, texture and how the material develops, decomposes and performs over time. Buck and Lund present an installation of new site-specific interventions, the works engaging in different ways with the surface of the object, and the surfaces of the space itself.
