Work is underway on a-n’s annual Degree Shows Guide, which this year is again edited by a-n news editor Chris Sharratt and designed by Newcastle graphic design studio Founded.
The 44-page guide will include listings for degree shows across the UK, along with show previews, interviews with student artists, art professionals and artists. There will also be comment and analysis from lecturers and artists on the significance and importance of degree shows, as well as tips on buying at degree shows.
Last year’s guide, the first to be solely published online (as both an e-book and downloadable pdf), was the most widely distributed ever. It was sent to over 50,000 artists and creative professionals through a-n’s membership and partnership network, and received over 290,000 page views in the first month of publication (May 2013).
The only publication of its kind in the UK, the 2013 guide carried advertising from nearly 70 universities and colleges, promoting the shows of thousands of graduating artists across the country.
If you’re unsure whether your undergraduate or postgraduate degree show is advertising in this year’s guide, please ask your tutor or degree show committee, or alternatively email us via [email protected]. All advertising must be booked and copy received by Friday 4 April.
