Sally makes work about transitory experiences of her surroundings. Her most recent paintings ‘Eurostar Journeys’ are a series of sunset landscapes viewed from the train travelling down through France. Through the use of collagraph Mary Jane creates atmospheric and textural prints of interior spaces and landscapes. The play of light is pivotal to the image, creating an evocative and mysterious atmosphere.
