Have joined Twitter, or rather resurrected an old account when folk started to say they were following me.
(Find me under Titchtwitter).
Also discovered thaat I can update my blogs from my Iphone which is great. No longer tied to the computer. Except for this blog…
Decided not to submit work to the annual exhibition of the Society of Scottish Artists, variety of reasons triggered by fact that I will be in Wales for my book launch at the time of submission though they did agree I could submit digital images for selection.
Can't help feeling though that these annual exhibitions are now rather arcane institutions….you spend several hundred pounds having work framed with no guarantee that it will be accepted. In fact the odds are stacked very high that it will be rejected because they are inundated with submissions even if you are a professional member ( as I am) and pay your annual £50 fee.
Somehow all this doesnt fit in with the digital world we live in. Notice today that the Tate gallery are putting all their work on Itunes!….for free.
Now that looks like a really interesting project
