Paintings have been loaned for this exhibition by Museums such as the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, National Museum of Wales Cardiff, Newport Museum and Art Gallery etc. Collections such as the Jerwood Collection Hastings and Arts Council of England, and private collectors.These are to be housed in the magnificent Gregynog Gallery at the National Library. And also large works from the artist’s studio.
The paintings are selected pieces from the travelling exhibitions done in Wales over the last thirty years,such as Blood Ties Wrexham Arts Centre 1993, Facing The Self Oriel Mostyn Llandudno 1997 The Black Cot 2003 initiated by Aberystwyth Arts Centre and The Rivalry of Flowers 2013, Aberystwyth Arts Centre. It is not a retrospective, more an overview. Several of the paintings shown have won awards from the Gold Medal winning paintings in the National Eisteddfod 1992 to the Jerwood painting prize 2003.
