This group show brings together seven artists who work with found images. Sourced from the Internet, flea markets, magazines and discarded personal collections, the artists explore the histories and narratives present in strangers’ images. Featuring work by Paul Chiappe, Ruth Claxton, Julie Cockburn, Ellen Gallagher, Vesna Pavlović, Erik Kessels and John Stezaker.

Casa Tomada, The Lowry, Salford
This exhibition by Colombian artist Rafael Gómezbarros explores ideas of displacement and immigration. The gallery space is filled with ants – each constructed from two human skull casts invoking thoughts of life and death. Spellbinding stuff.

Mary Barnes: Boo-Bah, The Nunnery, London
Outsider art is the focus of The Nunnery Gallery’s latest exhibition. It brings together paintings and drawings spanning the prolific career of artist Mary Barnes (1923-2001), which began in the 1960s in Bow, east London, with many of the works taken from the collection of Dr Joseph Berke (nick-named ‘Boo-Bah’), Barnes’ therapist and friend.

Totaller, PAPER, Manchester
Totaller is a Sheffield-based artist group consisting of Lesley Guy, Lea Torp Nielsen and Dale Holmes. For this exhibition, titled 15” Deep Pan Stuffed Crust Portuguese Man O’ War (Totaller’s Studio), they have turned the gallery space into an all-consuming collage built from various ephemera and artworks.

Raoul De Keyser, Inverleith House, Royal Botanic Garden, Edinburgh
The self-taught Belgian painter Raoul De Keyser (1930-2012) made paintings that combine elements of both abstract expressionism and figuration inspired by the natural world. This show – the first solo exhibition of his work in over a decade – features work spanning his entire career from 1967 up to 2012.
