These reeds were frozen in the winter, some of the textures of the waters edge provide inspiration. In good weather a visit to Holy Island off the north west coast of Angelsey provided a real insight and reminder of our relationship with the sea for transport. Beside the very long breakwater there the ferry from Holyhead to Ireland moves to and fro all day until late at night, it’s possible to hear the rumbling of the ferry engines at night.
