Ours is no golden age of plenty and leisure time. It is an Age of Panic. Everything interconnected yet so uncommunicative; so much information, so little meaning. My work takes our current fixation with concepts of the apocalypse and the cultural anxiety that supports and feeds them as its overarching subject. It presents a non-linear journey through a post-human world, taking as its subjects both the before and after of a once thriving and interconnected society. Using both the traditional disciplines of sculpture and painting, I use materials that reference the different stages of human development to highlight our place in time and our relationships with each other.
