Mobile Neon Workshops: Berlin

As the dark nights draw in during October, Berlin celebrates with its annual Festival of Lights and Neon Workshops are excited to join the celebrations at Berlin Glas e.V. We’ll be taking our facility to this popular city of arts and culture to stage several days of workshops at Berlin’s only public hot glass studio. This will be a unique opportunity to play with both furnace glass and neon!

During our residency there between the 10th-13th October, we’ll be offering several One Day Intensive and Neon Session workshops. An exhibition of participants neon work produced on these workshops will be staged until the 19th (optional). More info and details how to book can be found on our website below.

Neon Workshops was set up in 2009 with an aim to expose, explore and teach neon as a method of expression and cultural production, as well as hoping to challenge common expectations of the media. A mobile facility has been engineered and is used to host workshops both in house, nationally and internationally. Over the last four years, we have staged courses in Paris, Bergen, Berlin, Denmark and various UK cities.
In February 2014 Neon Workshops staged a landmark mobile neon workshop in Reykjavik, Iceland. Northern Lights was a 4-day neon spectacular, set below the beautiful Aurora Borealis, with three tutors, 12 participants and one Artist-in-Residence; the celebrated Czech artist Magdalena Jetelová
