Adam on St Agnes’ Eve – at 1:25
This unusually titled performance is a 1:25 scale model diorama and animated re-enactment of Ivor Davies’ 1968 multimedia theatre event, Adam on St Agnes’ Eve. This miniature event-installation (pictured above) has been commissioned as part of Silent Explosion, a major retrospective exhibition of Davies’ work curated by Judit Bodor and Nicholas Thornton. Alongside more recent works on the theme of destruction, this is a chance to revisit archive material of the Welsh artist’s 1960s avant-garde performances and happenings, including his contribution to the 1966 Destruction in Art Symposium.

Unfinished Business 2
For the second event in Blue Monkey Network’s series of work-in-progress discussions, artist Felicity Truscott will present works developed during a residency undertaken on the Ashburnham Place estate. She will also discuss how she developed a personal mentoring and professional development programme over the course of 2015 with the support of an a-n Re:view bursary.

Nicklin Unseen: Photography Workshop
Before the Nicklin Unseen exhibition finishes at the end of this month, photographers have the chance to sign up for a hands-on photography workshop that, like the outdoor-located exhibition, will take the photographers on a walking tour through Birmingham city centre. Led by photographers Tim Cornbill and Verity Milligan, the afternoon will also include a talk on the history of photography within the context of Birmingham. Booking required.
