Using a sheet of ice to encase an anatomical heart made of wool; this sculpture hangs suspended between two trees by four red woollen strings (red strings symbolise veins, ice symbolises skin). This sculpture deals with temporary art as the sheet of ice will eventually melt away leaving only a pile of wool on the ground; this also relates to the mortality of man as when the body and organs fail, the residue of the being is returned to the ground. A light is placed behind the sculpture to represent life and is turned on and off to represent a beating heart, changing pace and ultimately fading away to symbolise death.
These are just a few examples of the original photo shoot. I will start editing these pictures and start working on a video I made of the sculpture.
