Re-Drawing the Boundaries – a Weekend entirely devoted to Drawing

Tutor: Allison Neal PhD. The weekend would greatly benefit both fine art graduates and already established artists who are looking to reinvigorate their skills, their approach to drawing and its place within their own practice.

Games, exercises and group discussions that will help you to question and re assess your own understanding of what  drawing is and how we might go about doing it. A light lunch is provided for everyone. The studio will remain open in the evening for anyone who wishes to continue with their work, this also might be a useful time to explore the rural environment surrounding the studio.

Evening talk: ” Why a Drawing isn’t a Photograph” Contemporary drawing practice and why.

By the end of the weekend you are unlikely to have a completed drawing ready for exhibition but you should have re thought, re energised and possibly completely transformed your approach to drawing and to your own practice.
