From the 20th till the 27th April ,a collaboration of second year BA honour students, from the sculpture department in Carmarthen School of Art, showcase their work in MADE, at the Powerhouse, Llandysul.
A collection of work that celebrates the fundamental necessity of making in art. From Iron to clay and plaster to wood, each artist uses their chosen medium to tell the tale of what of what inspires them.
Exploring the themes of extinction and humanities effect on the animal kingdom, Beverley Jessop’s work forces us confront the diminishing beauty, of at risk species. Ffion Evan’s work, is inspired by the physical presence and impressions we each make and has used this to inspire her wax and plaster negative space, forms.
