Catrin’s recent work encompasses a reconnection with the material of handmade, mouth-blown glass, concentrating on the almost spiritual relation between light and the intense colour transmitted through flashed glass.
Ongoing narratives express Catrin’s relationship with her native landscape and the quality of its mark on her psyche, through pencil, brush and light: the action of the wind through grasses, the pounding Atlantic ocean and its traces on the sand, moments in time, glimpses of the matter and the energy of ourselves and the planet, caught through gesture, and disclosed using the material of a super-cooled liquid, known as glass.
