This rich and exciting exhibition explores the theme of the Tree of Life, the Yew, known as such in most cultures since time immemorial. Their remarkable powers of regeneration gives these ancient trees the stamp of immortality. The significance of the yew for peoples from Egypt to Wales from Neolithic times to today covers the most important aspects our lives. Two artists come together sharing a passion for this tree. Valerie James ceramic sculptor and Janis Fry painter. The thread running through and binding the work of these artists is the mystery and power of the Yew.
