"Open" is a showcase of small works covering an array of contemporary and challenging themes by Wandsworth Arts Village's forty host artists. Brimming with energy and enthusiasm these artists come freshly from a range of England's top Art Schools including Central St Martins, Chelsea, and Goldsmiths displaying a multitude of skills and practices from electronic/kinetic sculpture, photography, painting, modeling, sculpture, film and installation. The 'Open' show harnesses their energy with an exhibition of ground-breaking work. These early-career artists have been given the opportunity to rent affordable studio space on a temporary basis as a result of a new pilot project at Wandsworth Business Village in South London. This exciting project was initiated by the National Federation of Artists' Studio Providers (NFASP) and property specialists Workspace Group and Glebe Joint Venture Partnership, and is being delivered by experienced artists' studio provider and educational charity ACAVA (Association for Cultural Advancement through Visual Art).
