Publishes for the first time breakdown of the number of jobs inside and outside of the Creative Industries, by employed and self-employed status for each Creative Industries groups. Headline figures in summary: The number of jobs in the Creative Industries increased by 3.2% between 2014 and 2015 to 1.9 million jobs, an increase of 19.5% since 2011. Total jobs in the Creative Economy across the UK has increased by 5.1% between 2014 and 2015 (2.8 million to 2.9 million jobs) and by 19.6% since 2011. In 2015 there were 2 million jobs in Creative Occupations, a 4.9% increase since 2014 and 19.2% higher than 2011. These increases compare with a 2% increase in total number of jobs in the UK economy between 2014 and 2015, and 6.3% increase since 2011.
